Azealia Banks is an American rapper / singer from Harlem, New York and paid us a visit last Thursday in Tup Tup, Newcastle whilst on tour with NME. She topped their "Cool List" of the year, which is hardly surprising shes about as current as the daily paper and has a unique sound that is undoubtedly going to propel her into superstardom this year... Ok, so I totally appreciate everyone is blogging about Whitney's death. But I don't think it would be right for a website like ours not give her a mention. And I do not propose to list the number of crass jokes that inevitably always come out in the wake of someones death, in particular those who in recent years have fallen from grace. However, I would rather remember Whitney Houston in her prime... as she was, after all, truly spectacular. NICKI MINAJ: STUPID HOE

So a lil while back I posted Nicki's latest tune Stupid Hoe, the video has been released and well ermmm it's interesting, I suppose. Directed by legendary video bad man Hype Williams it features Nicki infront of different background basically gyrating alot. The clothing is pretty dope but the make-up is a lil off key- it looks kinda amateur and Nicki is looking very pale. All in all its not very exciting and reminiscent of Super Bass (minus the wicked dancing and sexy boys) and I for one am getting sick of the Green Screen videos that are cheap to make and generally pretty shite. Anyway have a deek and see what you think. Sidenote: I worked with Mr Williams in New York and gota say he's a proper good lad!

SAIGON - WARNING SHOTS 3

Mix tapes stopped being relevant in 2002 when 50 Cent got signed & most releases since then have been a lazy effort to keep ones name out there with a mediocre product. Warning Shots 3 on the other hand is actually pretty good in that it’s not an incredible track list its just incredible for a mixtape (which is like an “all right” actual album). The production is solid and Saigon is on point always, now if only he gets a major label behind him that lets him do what he wants.

Let's face it, if you're single it's a big pile of wank and if you're in a relationship it's fucking mint and a great excuse to buy your loved one shit they don't need with money you don't have. So being part of the latter half I'm putting this post out as a massive hint to my boy, this is exactly what will make me happy on V day. RHIANNA: THUG LIFE TATTOO???

Oh dear, she's at it again! The ever increasingly weird Ri-Ri got THUG LIFE tattooed across her knuckles this week. Which is pretty fucking mental if you ask me considering the lass has been a multi-millionaire from about the age of 16 and is so far removed from a Thug Life she may as well be Martha fucking Stewart and yes yes I know she might have been a bit 'ghetto' as a youth, with her crack head Dad and all that but a thug? Nah, nah I don't think so. Oh and it's also mental as it's clearly a replica of Tupac's infamous stomach tattoo (which I am ashamed to say my boyfriend when I was 16 also got tattooed on his rather chubby white stomach). It does make me wonder what Tupac would say about this homage to him- the phrase 'waste cadete' springs to mind. Honestly I feel like this lass is one bad hangover away from a Britney 'shave my hair off' moment.
